Interested in broadening your mathematical knowledge and sharpening your analytical thinking? Join the Colorado Math Circle for exciting monthly math talks hosted by the University of Colorado at Boulder. Speakers will include math professors and mathematicians from around the state. Our talks are intended for high school students but parents, teachers, and exceptional middle schoolers are also welcome. Topics are expected to include number theory, combinatorics, probability, geometry, and game theory.
The Colorado Math Circle Euler Group will meet once a month to work on olympiad-level problems and other advanced math topics. It is intended for students who have extensive experience in advanced problem solving.
You may attend any meeting without pre-registering but if you would like to add your name to the Colorado Math Circle mailing list, please complete this registration form.

We will be preparing for the 2008 ARML Competition throughout the year. In May 2008 thirty students from eighteen different schools will represent Colorado at the national competition. In 2007 the Colorado ARML Team placed fourth in the Western A Division, and in 2006 they won first place in the B Division, outscoring over 80 teams from around the country and abroad.

Check our calendar for the 2007–08 meeting schedule.

All meetings will take place at the University of Colorado at Boulder Engineering Center. (See driving directions.) The classroom location will change from month to month so please check our calendar for the correct room number.

The 2008 Colorado Math Marathon took place on Saturday, January 12. High school and middle school students competed in individual and team rounds for prizes, including an iPod Shuffle. See the list of winners.

There is no fee for participating in the Colorado Math Circle. We are generously supported by the University of Colorado at Boulder Outreach Committee, the CU-Boulder Department of Applied Mathematics, and the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI). Special thanks to Drs. Anne Dougherty and Congming Li for sponsoring our math circle.
